Accessibility
Accessibility at AI PhD
We want every lesson to work for everyone. Here is what the site does today, what it does not do yet, and how to tell us when something is in your way.
What the site does today
- A "Skip to content" link is the first thing a keyboard reaches on every page.
- Every link, button and field shows a clear outline when it has keyboard focus.
- Pages use headings, landmarks and labels that screen readers can follow, and the page you are on is marked in the menu.
- On a touch screen, buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall, and text fields use 16 pixel text so the page does not zoom.
- If your device asks for less motion, the site turns off its animations.
- Course covers are drawn as text, not pictures of text, and their contrast is measured before a course opens.
- Lessons are written in plain words, at a grade 8 reading level or below.
What we have not done yet
- No outside audit has checked the site against an accessibility standard.
- The live lesson needs JavaScript turned on.
- The recorded lesson on the home page has no captions or transcript yet.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of AI PhD is hard to use, write to support@ai-phd.com. Tell us the page and what got in your way. We will work with you to get you the lesson another way while we fix it.
